The Bill Type option will allow you to produce a report that contains a specific type of legislation. Only the checked types of legislation will appear in your report.

CONCURRENT RESOLUTIONS - Adopted with one reading in each chamber and carries no force of law. These may include congratulations of accomplishments, sympathetic expressions, or the like.

RESOLUTIONS - Adopted with one reading in initiating chamber and carries no force of law. These may include congratulations of accomplishments, sympathetic expressions, or the like. These may also include legislation that only pertains to introducing body... i.e. Rules changes

GENERAL BILLS - Permanent legislation that requires 3 readings in each chamber and signature of the Governor. A Governor's VETO may be overridden by a two-thirds vote in each chamber. Upon passage, the bill becomes an ACT and carries force of law.

JOINT RESOLUTIONS - Temporary legislation that requires 3 readings in each chamber and signature of the Governor. A Governor's VETO may be overridden by a two-thirds vote in each chamber. Upon passage, the bill becomes an ACT and carries force of law.

All types of legislation are chosen by Default.

The Originating Body option will allow you to filter bills from your report that originated in a specific chamber.

Choose House if you wish for your results to only contain House bills.

Choose Senate if you wish for your results to only contain Senate bills.

All will include all legislation that conforms to the selection for your report regardless of their originating chamber.

The Rat Number option will allow you to produce a report that ONLY contains Ratified Bills and Joint Resolutions within the range specified. To include ALL Ratified Bills and Joint Resolutions, leave the range fields blank.

REMEMBER - If this option is used, bills that have not been ratified will NOT appear in your report.

The Passed option will allow you to filter passed bills, not passed, or enacted legislation from your report.

Passed General Assembly legislation is:

      GENERAL BILLS and JOINT RESOLUTIONS that have been Ratified by the General Assembly.
      CONCURRENT RESOLUTIONS that have been adopted by the General Assembly.
      HOUSE RESOLUTIONS and SENATE RESOLUTIONS that have been adopted by the originating body.

Not Passed General Assembly legislation is:

      GENERAL BILLS and JOINT RESOLUTIONS that have been NOT been Ratified by the General Assembly.
      CONCURRENT RESOLUTIONS that have NOT been adopted by the General Assembly.
      HOUSE RESOLUTIONS and SENATE RESOLUTIONS that have NOT been adopted by the originating body.

Enacted legislation is GENERAL BILLS and JOINT RESOLUTIONS that have been enacted as a result of the following actions:

      Signed by Governor
      Became law without Governor's signature
      No signature required
      Vetoed by Governor / Overridden by General Assembly

The Act Number option will allow you to produce a report that ONLY contains General Bills and Joint Resolutions that have been assigned an Act number within the range specified.

REMEMBER - If this option is used, bills that have not become Acts will NOT appear in your report.

The Status Activity option will allow you to ONLY include legislation that have had any action within specific dates and/or in specific chambers.

Choose Activity in House Chamber if you wish for your results to only contain legislation that has had actions on them in the House Chamber within the date range.

Choose Activity in Senate Chamber if you wish for your results to only contain legislation that has had actions on them in the Senate Chamber within the date range.

All Activity will include any legislation that has had any activity within the date range.

The date range includes the Entire 2-year Session by the checkbox being selected. If you wish to specify a specific range of dates, deselect Entire Session and enter dates in the date range fields provided.
