Senator SHEALY proposed the following amendment (3R001.LS.KS):
    Amend the bill, as and if amended, page 15, on line 39, by adding an appropriately numbered new SECTION to read:

/     SECTION     (     ).     Article 1, Chapter 29, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
        "Section 59-29-240.     The State Department of Education shall establish and require to be taught in all public schools of this State a course of instruction on domestic violence awareness and prevention. Such course of education shall be studied and taught as thoroughly and in the same manner as all other required subjects in such schools."         /
