Amend the joint resolution, as and if amended, SECTION 1, by striking subsection (B) and inserting:
/ (B) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, there is established a new temporary Board of Trustees of South Carolina State University, to be composed of:
(1) one member appointed by the Senate Majority Leader;
(2) one member appointed by the Senate Minority Leader;
(3) one member appointed by the House of Representatives Majority Leader;
(4) one member appointed by the House of Representatives Minority Leader; and
(5) one member appointed by the Governor.
Each member must have experience in at least one of the following: finance, higher education administration, business administration, or public administration. The board shall meet as soon as practical and elect a chairman and other officers from its membership. /
