Amend the joint resolution, as and if amended, page 2, by striking lines 39-43 and on page 3, by striking lines 1-7 and inserting:
/ (B) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, there is established a new seven member temporary Board of Trustees of South Carolina State University. The board shall, to be composed of:
(a)(i) one member appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate;
(ii) one member appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives;
(iii) one member appointed by the Chairman of the Senate Education Committee;
(iv) one member appointed by the Chairman of the House Education and Public Works Committee; and
(v) one member appointed by the Governor; and
(b) two members appointed by the five members appointed pursuant to item (a), one of which must be an alumni of the university and one of which must be a member of the university's faculty. /
