Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered section to read:
/ SECTION __. Section 23-6-90 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 23-6-90. (A) The department may employ, equip, and provide such officers as may be necessary to maintain the security of the Governor's Mansion Compound, and other governmental facilities, including the State Capitol Building, the facilities of the Capitol Complex, and other state buildings. The director must determine the most efficient and effective method of placing these officers within a law enforcement division in the department.
(B) The department shall remove all metal detectors from the State Capitol Building." /
