Reference is to the bill as introduced.
Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking all after the enacting words and inserting:
/SECTION 1. Article 7, Chapter 5, Title 56 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 56-5-1040. (A)
The Department of Transportation shall periodically
broadcast on variable message boards along the state's
interstate highways information messages that inform motorists
traveling in slower moving vehicles that they must travel in the
farthest right lane in either direction along all multilane
portions of highway where appropriate.
(B) A motorist who
violates this provision may be fined one hundred dollars."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor. /
