Amend the bill, as and if amended, PART II, by adding appropriately numbered SECTION to read:
/ SECTION _. Section 9-1-240 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 9-1-240.
The board shall designate an actuary, subject to the
approval of the State Fiscal Accountability Authority, or its
successor who shall be is the
technical adviser of the board on matters regarding the
operation of the system and shall perform such other duties as
are required in connection therewith; provided, however, that
the Retirement System Investment Commission is a third-party
beneficiary of the contract with the actuary, with full rights
to all actuarial valuations prepared by the actuary. The board
shall provide to the State Fiscal Accountability Authority or
its successor actuarial valuations and reports
requested." /
