EXPLANATION: Allows for dash cam evidence to be submitted by a SC citizen to the appropriate law enforcement agency when littering is observed where the make/model of the vehicle and the tag number are clearly displayed.
Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL
PROVISIONS, page 506, after line 2, by adding an appropriately
numbered paragraph to read:
/(GP: Litter Prevention) For the current fiscal year,
evidence may be submitted to any local or state law enforcement
agency showing footage of a vehicle littering where the vehicle
make, model and license plate is clearly visible. A reward must
be awarded to the individual providing footage equal to half the
total fine amount should a fine be assessed to the registered
owner of the vehicle./
