Amend the bill, as and if amended, subsection (C), as contained in SECTION 3, by deleting the subsection in its entirety and inserting:
/ (C) The study committee must be composed of thirteen members appointed as follows:
(1) one member appointed by the Executive Director of the South Carolina Commission of Indigent Defense;
(2) one member appointed by the Executive Director of the South Carolina Commission on Prosecution Coordination;
(3) one member appointed by the South Carolina Training Council;
(4) one member appointed by the Director of the Department of Juvenile Justice, one of whom must be currently employed in a Department of Juvenile Justice County office;
(5) one sitting Family Court Judge appointed by the Chief Justice of South Carolina;
(6) one member appointed by the Director of Mental Health;
(7) one member appointed by the Superintendent of Education;
(8) three members of the Senate, one appointed by each of the following: the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Senate Majority Leader and the Senate Minority Leader; and
(9) three members of the House of Representatives, one appointed by each of the following: the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, the House Majority Leader and the House Minority Leader. /
