AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 21-15-430, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE EXTENSION FOR FILING A WARRANT OF APPRAISEMENT, SO AS TO ALLOW THE PROBATE JUDGE OF THE COUNTY DISCRETIONARY AUTHORITY AS TO THE LENGTH OF ANY EXTENDED FILING PERIOD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Probate judge to determine length of extended filing period

Section 1. Section 21-15-430 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 198 of 1979, is further amended to read:

"Section 21-15-430. Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 21-15-320 and 21-15-350, the period for filing may, upon sufficient showing and upon proper application, be extended by the probate judge of the county."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor.
