AN ACT TO REPEAL CHAPTERS 5 AND 7 OF TITLE 60, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO COUNTY, TOWNSHIP, SCHOOL DISTRICT, MUNICIPAL AND REGIONAL LIBRARIES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Findings

Section 1. The General Assembly finds that Chapters 5 and 7 of Title 60, of the 1976 Code, relating to county, township, school district, municipal and regional libraries are repealed by implication through the enactment of our uniform county library legislation and should be removed from the Code to avoid possible confusion.

Repeal

Section 2. Chapters 5 and 7 of Title 60 of the 1976 Code are hereby repealed.

Time effective

Section 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
