A JOINT RESOLUTION TO DELAY, UNTIL THE TIME OF THE GENERAL ELECTION, IN 1982 ONLY, THE ELECTION FOR THE TRUSTEES OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF GREENVILLE COUNTY AND TO SET THE FILING PERIOD FOR 1982 ONLY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Election delayed

Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the election for the trustees of the School District of Greenville County shall be delayed, in 1982 only, until the time of the general election.

Filing period set for 1982

Section 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for 1982 only, the filing period for candidates seeking nomination for trustees of the School District of Greenville County shall begin at noon on September 1, 1982, and close at noon on September 15, 1982.

Time effective

Section 3. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor.
