The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O God of all generations, Thou Who did lead the Israelites to deliver them from Egyptian bondage, deliver us from all evil that would beset us. May the memories of this Holy Week and the Passover remind us unmistakably of God's concern for His people and lift our conviction of His goodness and love for all people. Help us to feel Thy nearness even as we work, and bring us to the Passover of gladness and the glory of Resurrection morning. Show us how to move when it is right, to take steps that should be taken, and to seek Thy light upon unfinished tasks.

We pray in the Name of Christ Jesus Who is the Resurrection and the Life. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of Thursday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

ADJOURNMENT

At 10:10 A.M. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, April 5.
