A JOINT RESOLUTION TO DIRECT THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO ERECT CERTAIN DIRECTIONAL SIGNS RELATING TO THE LOCATION OF THE FLORENCE COUNTY VISITOR INFORMATION CENTER.
Whereas, the General Assembly finds it is necessary and desirable to erect directional signs on the highways of this State to designate the location of certain recreational facilities; and
Whereas, the General Assembly finds that directional signs should be erected to designate the location of the Florence County Visitor Information Center. Now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Department directed to erect signs
SECTION 1. The South Carolina Department of Transportation is directed to erect directional signs on Interstates 95 and 20 pertaining to the Florence County Visitor Information Center which is located in Florence County. The location, type, and placement of the directional signs must be approved by letter of the county delegation.
Procedure
SECTION 2. Upon receipt of the appropriate letter of communication from the Florence County Delegation, the South Carolina Department of Transportation is directed to erect these directional signs no later than one hundred twenty days after receipt of the letter.
Copy to be forwarded
SECTION 3. A copy of this resolution must be forwarded to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
Time effective
SECTION 4. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
