A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY OF JANUARY 21, 1994, MISSED BY THE STUDENTS OF COWPENS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF SPARTANBURG COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT THREE WHEN THIS SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO A MALFUNCTION OF THE HEATING SYSTEM IS EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
School day make-up not required
SECTION 1. The school day of January 21, 1994, missed by the students of Cowpens Elementary School of Spartanburg County School District Three when this school was closed due to a malfunction of the heating system is exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
