TO COMMEND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LIONS CLUBS AND EACH OF THE LIONS CLUBS IN SOUTH CAROLINA FOR THE OUTSTANDING WORK THAT THEY DO IN SERVING THEIR FELLOW MAN AND TO WELCOME INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR ALBERT F. BRANDEL TO SOUTH CAROLINA AS HE SPEAKS AT THE LIONS DISTRICT 32-D MID-WINTER RALLY.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly have throughout the years appreciated all that service clubs do in South Carolina for the betterment of mankind; and
Whereas, one of South Carolina's most distinguished service clubs is the International Association of Lions Clubs which serves local communities in so many ways including wonderful work in and support for vision problems and eye research; and
Whereas, on Saturday, February 25, 1995, Lions District 32-D will hold its mid-winter rally in Columbia where approximately four hundred Lions and their spouses will attend; and
Whereas, the guest speaker at the mid-winter rally will be International Director Albert F. Brandel who was selected to serve a two-year term as Director of the International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 76th annual convention held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in July 1993; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to welcome Director Brandel to South Carolina and extend to him warmest greetings and best wishes as he participates in the mid-winter rally of this truly fine group of dedicated and public-spirited South Carolinians. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly hereby commend the International Association of Lions Clubs and each of the Lions Clubs in South Carolina for the outstanding work that they do in serving their fellow man and welcome International Director Albert F. Brandel to South Carolina as he speaks at the Lions District 32-D Mid-Winter Rally.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to
International Director Albert F. Brandel and to Henry E. Gibson, Governor of Lions District 32-D.
