AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 784 OF 1964, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE LUGOFF WATER DISTRICT OF KERSHAW COUNTY, SO AS TO FURTHER PROVIDE FOR THE EXTENSION OF ITS SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Water district service area
SECTION 1. Section 4, item (23) of Act 784 of 1964 is amended to read:
"(23) To extend its systems or systems beyond the defined limits of the district to provide services to those living outside the district and outside any incorporated municipality when, in the discretion of the board, it is feasible and practicable so to do, in which case any person or agency receiving such service is subject to the same rules, regulations, and requirements concerning services being received from the district as persons residing within the district. The board may establish rates and charges higher than those within the district for the extension of its system and the provision of services beyond the limits of the district."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
