A JOINT RESOLUTION

PROHIBITING TAXATION BY THE STATE OR ANY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE ON INTERNET ACCESS FROM JULY 1, 1998, THROUGH JUNE 30, 1999.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. For the period beginning July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, there must not be a tax levied on Internet access charges by the State of South Carolina or any political subdivision of the State.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect July 1, 1998.
