TO COMMEND THE THREE RIVERS HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF HEMINGWAY AND ITS OFFICERS AND MEMBERS FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING WORK IN CHRONICLING AND PRESERVING THE HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THE CITIZENS WHO LIVE IN HEMINGWAY, IN WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, AND IN SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES AND COUNTIES LOCATED IN THE PEE DEE, BLACK, AND LYNCHES RIVERS REGION OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
Whereas, the Three Rivers Historical Society of Hemingway was founded in the mid 1970's and it has served its members and region with distinction since that time; and
Whereas, the present officers of the society are as follows:

Connie Post-----------------Editor of Chronicle
Nell Morris------------------Publications Chairman; and
Whereas, under their able direction, the society publishes "The Three Rivers Chronicle" which contains items of historical and current interest for society members; and
Whereas, the Three Rivers Historical Society in addition maintains a library, a membership directory, genealogical family histories, and church, census, and county records, all of which benefit the citizens of the Three Rivers Region of the State of South Carolina; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly would like to publicly recognize and commend the Three Rivers Historical Society and its officers and members for its truly wonderful achievements and contributions as enumerated in this resolution. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly commend the Three Rivers Historical Society of Hemingway and its officers and members for their outstanding work in chronicling and preserving the history and genealogy of the citizens who live in Hemingway, in Williamsburg County, and in surrounding communities and counties located in the Pee Dee, Black, and Lynches Rivers Region of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Three Rivers Historical Society.
