TO AMEND SECTION 4-9-30, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO A COUNTY'S POWER TO OFFER PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, SO AS TO REQUIRE EVERY COUNTY WITH A POPULATION IN EXCESS OF TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND TO OFFER OR CONTINUE TO FUND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, AND TO PROHIBIT THE DISCONTINUANCE OR DIMINUTION OF SERVICE ONCE IT IS IN EFFECT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 4-9-30(5) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 114 of 1991, is further amended to read:
"(5)
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
