TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-29-65 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PREPARATORY COURSE FOR THE SCHOLASTIC APTITUDE TEST MUST BE PROVIDED AND INCLUDED IN THE CURRICULUM IN EACH PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL OF THIS STATE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 59-29-65. A preparatory course for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) must be provided and included in the curriculum in each public high school of this State. The State Board of Education shall establish the required contents of this course."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
