A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 55-5-130, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO AERONAUTICAL REGULATION BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, SO AS TO MAKE THE REGULATORY PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO AIRPORTS AND OTHER AVIATION FACILITIES OWNED OR OPERATED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THIS STATE OR OF A COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY OF THIS STATE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 55-5-130 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 181 of 1993, is further amended to read:

"Section 55-5-130. No license, rule, order, or regulation promulgated under the authority of this chapter shall apply to airports, landing fields, air beacons, air markings or other air navigation facilities owned or operated by the government of the United States, of the State or of any county or municipality of this State."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
