The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark, as follows:

Our Father God, Who has watched over this great Nation from generation to generation, we lift our morning prayer to You as we open our minds to Your presence and seek Your light for our pathways. Take away all that hinders us from giving ourselves to Your way or obstructs obedience to Your will. Give us the trust to take one step at a time, and guide us in the way of uprightness. Give us peace that individuals and nations remain all as "children of the Heavenly Father." Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

SENT TO THE SENATE

The following Bill was taken up, read the third time, and ordered sent to the Senate:

H. 4128 (Word version) -- Rep. Bowers: A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-300, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN HAMPTON COUNTY, SO AS TO CHANGE THE POLLING PLACE IN THE SCOTIA PRECINCT FROM THE SCOTIA COMMUNITY HOUSE TO THE SCOTIA TOWN HALL.
