To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (S. 312) to request the Department of Transportation and the Department of Natural Resources to rename the Hope Ferry Landing on the Saluda River in Lexington County, the "James R. Metts Landing", etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:
ROBERT W. LEACH, SR. for Committee.
TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO RENAME THE HOPE FERRY LANDING ON THE SALUDA RIVER IN LEXINGTON COUNTY, THE "JAMES R. METTS LANDING" AND TO ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS AT THE LANDING CONTAINING THE WORDS "JAMES R. METTS LANDING".
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly request the Department of Transportation and the Department of Natural Resources to rename the Hope Ferry Landing on the Saluda River in Lexington County the "James R. Metts Landing" and to erect appropriate markers or signs at the landing containing the words "James R. Metts Landing".
Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation and the Department of Natural Resources.
