VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 51-1-45 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ANY MANUFACTURED ITEMS SOLD BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND TOURISM AT ITS WELCOME AND INFORMATION CENTERS, AT ANY DEPARTMENT-RUN GIFT FACILITIES AT STATE PARKS, AND AT ITS STATE HOUSE GIFT SHOP MUST BE MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Title 51 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 51-1-45. Any manufactured items sold by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism at its welcome and information centers, at any department-run gift facilities at state parks, and at its State House gift shop must be made in the United States of America."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
