VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-19-313 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PERSON WHO FILES AN APPLICATION TO RUN FOR A SEAT ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF A SCHOOL DISTRICT SHALL PAY A FILING FEE OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 1, Chapter 19, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 59-19-313. In a district that allows for the election of a school board of trustees, a person who files an application to run for a seat on the board of trustees of the school district shall pay a filing fee of one hundred dollars."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
