A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR A SIX AND ONE-QUARTER MILL INCREASE IN THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2005, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2006, AND TO ALLOCATE THE INCREASED REVENUES FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES IN DILLON COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Dillon County School taxes
SECTION 1. The taxes which were imposed in Dillon County for school purposes for fiscal year 2004-2005 are reimposed for fiscal year 2005-2006. An additional six and one-quarter mills are imposed for use as follows:
(1) 1.75 mills for the Dillon County Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC);
(2) 1.00 mill for debt service;
(3) .50 mill for teacher bonuses; and
(4) 3.00 mills for operations.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
