VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 24-21-95 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD OF PROBATION, PAROLE AND PARDON SERVICES MUST EXPUNGE THE CRIMINAL RECORD OF A PERSON WHO HAS RECEIVED A PARDON.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 1, Chapter 21 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 24-21-95. The Board of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services must expunge the criminal record of a person who has received a pardon from the board."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
