VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR H. HEATH HILL FOR HIS TIRELESS EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE RURAL AREAS OF THE PALMETTO STATE.
Whereas, it is altogether fitting and proper that the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives pause in their deliberations to commend the significant life and selfless work of H. Heath Hill; and
Whereas, a lifelong resident of Lower Richland County, Mr. Heath Hill is a successful businessman owning and operating approximately three thousand acres of farm land in corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and timber; and
Whereas, graduates of the Richland County public-school system, Heath and his beloved wife reared three fine children; and
Whereas, he is a devoted member of Eason Memorial Baptist Church in the Town of Eastover where he served one term as the chairman of the deacon board and two terms as a member of the deacon board; and
Whereas, a critical factor in ensuring that the rural areas of our State have adequate supplies of electricity, Heath Hill has served as a director of the Tri-County Electric Cooperative since 1995 and currently serves as president of its board of directors, and since 2002, he has been a member of the board of directors of Central Electric Power Cooperative, and a board member of the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina; and
Whereas, since 1995, he has served as a commissioner with the Richland County Conservation District and a director with the Richland County Farm Bureau Board; and
Whereas, because of his remarkable efforts in the community, a portion of South Carolina Highway 48 in Richland County has been named in honor of this distinguished son of South Carolina; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are grateful for the energetic life and enthusiastic participation of H. Heath Hill and for his selfless contributions to the citizens of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor H. Heath Hill for his tireless efforts on behalf of the residents of the rural areas of the Palmetto State.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to H. Heath Hill.
