The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 25:4: "Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths."
Let us pray. Faithful God, watch over us and give us what we need each day. When we forget to acknowledge Your presence, remind us with Your patience and love. Bestow Your blessings on our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, this Assembly and all who labor in these Halls of Government. Protect our defenders of freedom as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
