VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SHALL INCREASE THE SPEED LIMIT ALONG A PORTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 24 IN ANDERSON COUNTY AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT MAY ADJUST THE SPEED LIMIT AFTER A TWO-YEAR PERIOD.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The Department of Transportation shall increase the speed limit along the portion of South Carolina Highway 24 in Anderson County to fifty-five miles an hour from its intersection with New Hope Road to its intersection with Michelin Boulevard. After a period of two years that commences on the effective date of this joint resolution, the Department of Transportation may if needed reevaluate and adjust the maximum speed limit along this portion of highway.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
