WHEREAS, the State of South Carolina expects an unusually large number of citizens to attend events and funeral services honoring former Governor Carroll A. Campbells, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, the support of the South Carolina National Guard has been requested to support these events during the period of December 8 through December 11, 2005;

NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers conferred upon me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of South Carolina, I hereby direct the Adjutant General to place on state duty South Carolina National Guard personnel and equipment, as deemed necessary, to fulfill this mission. National Guard personnel and equipment deployment should be coordinated through the Emergency Management Division.
