Reps. KING, GOVAN, McDANIEL and ROBINSON propose the following Amendment No. 37 to H. 3094 (COUNCIL\VR\3094C001.CC.VR21):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

/ SECTION __. Article 4, Chapter 31, Title 23 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 23-31-245. Any person with an income under the federal poverty limit who is qualified to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families must be provided a weapon or firearm by the State upon request, if the person is lawfully able to possess a weapon or firearm." /
