Senator CASH proposes the following amendment (4100R007.KMM.RJC.DOCX):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL PROVISIONS, page 538, line 29, by adding an appropriately numbered new proviso to read:

/ 117.___.(GP: Fetal Remains) No funds appropriated or authorized by this act may be used by the State's public colleges or universities to purchase fetal remains resulting from an abortion for the purpose of research or experimentation. The State's public colleges and universities are further prohibited from accepting donated fetal remains resulting from an abortion for the purpose of research or experimentation. A public college or university that purchases or accepts donated fetal remains in violation of this proviso shall return to the General Fund an amount equal to ten percent of the funds appropriated to the college or university under Part 1A of this act. /
