Senator KIMBRELL proposes the following amendment (5150R020.SP.JK.DOCX):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 23, MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA., page 361, after line 19, by adding an appropriately numbered new proviso to read:

/23._ (MUSC:Pediatric Transgender Clinic ) No funds appropriated to MUSC pursuant to this appropriations act shall be used to fund or support any action furthering the gender transition of a minor child under the age of sixteen. This proviso shall not prohibit MUSC from providing medically necessary treatment that is unrelated to physical gender transition. Further, this proviso does not prohibit mental health counseling services. /

Amend sections, totals and title to conform.
