Rep. King and Bamberg proposes the following amendment (LC-474.DG0867H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

SECTIONX. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, it is not a violation of Section 44-41-640 if an abortion is performed or induced on a  pregnant women due to her having the permission from a federally recognized religious institution, as identified by the Internal Revenue Service.
