EXPLANATION: Prevents State funds from being utilized to subsidize intermittent forms of energy.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 50, DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, page 411, after line 7, by adding an appropriately numbered proviso to read:

/(CMRC: Energy Sources) No funds appropriated to the department may be utilized for the research, recruitment, production, or purchase of any intermittent forms of energy production, or for the reimbursement or subsidy of such purposes. State- appropriated funds shall only be spent on such purposes for firm energy sources. /

Amend totals and titles to conform.
