EXPLANATION: Creates a School Bus Driver Return to Work exemption for the South Carolina Retirement System.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL PROVISIONS, page 560, after line 29, by adding an appropriately numbered proviso to read:

/ (GP: School Bus Driver Return to Work) Any School Bus Driver who retired under the South Carolina Retirement System on or before December 31, 2023, may return to employment with a public school district as a School Bus Driver without affecting the monthly retirement allowance that they are receiving from the South Carolina Retirement System./

Amend totals and titles to conform.
