 Senator CAMPSEN proposes the following amendment (SA\5100C002.JN.SA24.DOCX):

 Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL PROVISIONS, page 577, after line 24, by adding an appropriately numbered new proviso to read:

/ (GP: Data centers) No state entity may use funds to offer incentives to a data center, and no state entity may approve a tariff, rider, or rate proposal for a reduced electric rate, nor any other form of incentive that would result in a reduced electric rate to a data center. For purposes of this proviso, "data center" means any facility that primarily contains electronic equipment used to process, store, and transmit digital information which may be (a) a free-standing structure; or (b) a facility within a larger structure, that uses environmental control equipment to maintain the proper conditions for the operation of electronic equipment. /
