 Senator MATTHEWS proposes the following amendment (AM HAMPTON COUNTY AUDIT):

 Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL PROVISIONS, page 577, after line 24, by adding an appropriately numbered new proviso to read:

/ (GP: Hampton County Audit) Of the funds appropriated in this act and/or carried forward from the previous fiscal year, the Office of the State Auditor, in coordination with the Office of the Inspector General, is directed to contract a firm to conduct a forensic audit on the finances of Hampton County and the Hampton County School District. The State Auditor shall oversee the auditing process and provide interim and final reports to Hampton County Council, the Hampton County Delegation, the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and the Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee upon completion. /
