Rep. Cromer proposes the following amendment (LC-408.VR0020H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, SECTION 1, by striking Section 40-75-250(D) and inserting:

 (D) A person licensed under this chapter must receive at least one hour of continuing education in suicide assessment, treatment, and management treatment, which may be completed virtually, as a portion of the total continuing education requirement for license renewal as determined by the board in regulation.
 (DE) A licensee who allows the license to lapse by failing to renew the license as provided in this section may be reinstated by the board upon payment of a reinstatement fee and the current renewal fee. The board, by regulation, may impose additional requirements for reinstatement.

Amend the bill further, SECTION 2, by striking Section 40-75-540(B) and inserting:

 (B) A person licensed under this chapter must receive at least one hour of continuing education in suicide assessment, treatment, and management treatment, which may be completed virtually, as a portion of the total continuing education requirement for license renewal as determined by the board in regulation.

Amend the bill further, SECTION 3, by striking Section 40-63-250(E) and inserting:

 (E) A person licensed under this chapter must receive at least one contact hour of continuing education in suicide assessment, treatment, and management treatment, which may be completed virtually, as a portion of the total continuing education requirement for license renewal as determined by the board in regulation.
