Rep. A. M. Morgan proposes the following amendment (LC-1046.AHB0088H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, SECTION 1, Section 2-19-5, by adding a subsection to read:

 (K) No member of the General Assembly who is a lawyer-legislator may be appointed pursuant to the provisions of this section to serve on the commission. The terms of members of the General Assembly who are lawyer-legislators currently serving on the commission end on July 1, 2025, and they may not be reappointed.
