EXPLANATION: Authorize HFDA and Habitat for Humanity to expend funds for affordable housing.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 42, HOUSING FINANCE & DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, page 398, proviso 42.7, lines 15-17 , by striking the proviso in its entirety and inserting:

/ 42.7. (HFDA: Collaboration) To address the issues of lack of affordable home ownership across the state, the South Carolina Housing Finance and Development Authority shall collaborate with Habitat for Humanity South Carolina and may spend up to ten million dollars of existing funds to explore funding opportunities aimed at increasing and preserving the supply of affordable housing and workforce housing in the State. /

Amend totals and titles to conform.
