Senator Hembree proposes the following amendment (SEDU-28.DB0001S):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

SECTION X. The State Department of Education, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and the Attorney General's Office, as appropriate, shall develop and implement a policy to educate and notify students of the provision of this act. The State Department of Education must file a report as to the status of the adoption and implementation of the education policies under this act tothe Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representative, by July 1, 2026.
