H 2294 General Bill, By M.D. Burriss and Barfield
    A Bill to amend Section 12-21-2710, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to coin-operated machines and devices, so as to increase the penalties for keeping and operating machines and devices for the purpose of gambling from a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or imprisonment for not more than one year or both to imprisonment for not more than one year or a fine of not less than two thousand five hundred dollars nor more than four thousand five hundred dollars or both for a first offense, imprisonment for not more than one year or a fine of not less than five thousand dollars nor more than nine thousand five hundred dollars or both for a second offense, and imprisonment for one year and a fine of not less than ten thousand dollars for a third or subsequent offense.
