H 2922 General Bill, By Sheheen and Wilkins
    A Bill to amend Section 14-3-10, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the composition of the Supreme Court and the election of the Justices thereof, so as to provide that the Chief Justice must be elected from among the Justices of the Supreme Court by the General Assembly, to provide for the term of office and manner of election of the Chief Justice, to provide that a Justice may serve more than one term as Chief Justice but may not serve consecutive full terms in that office, and to provide that the provisions of this Act take effect upon the ratification of an amendment to the Constitution of this State permitting same.
