    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-63-245 SO AS TO ENACT THE "SCHOOL TEACHER AUTHORITY ACT OF 2003" TO PROVIDE THAT A SCHOOL TEACHER MAY SUSPEND A STUDENT FROM ONE TO FIVE DAYS FOR VIOLATIONS OF SCHOOL DISCIPLINARY CODES FOR OFFENSES THAT WARRANT SUSPENSION AND TO PROVIDE THAT A STUDENT SO SUSPENDED MAY NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR OR MAKE UP WORK MISSED.
