A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ERECT AN APPROPRIATE SIGN OR MARKER ON SULLIVAN'S ISLAND ON THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE BRIDGE, CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION THAT SPANS BREACH INLET BETWEEN SULLIVAN'S ISLAND AND THE ISLE OF PALMS IN CHARLESTON COUNTY ON SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 703 TO COMMEMORATE THE BATTLE OF SULLIVAN'S ISLAND AND COLONEL WILLIAM THOMSON, WHO LED THE AMERICAN FORCES AT THE BATTLE OF SULLIVAN'S ISLAND WHICH DEFEATED A BRITISH CONTINGENT ON JUNE 28, 1776.
