A Bill to amend Section 44-53-445, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the distribution of a controlled substance within a radius of one-half mile of a school, so as to expand the territorial area in which a violation is possible, to provide for additional criminal offenses and penalties, to bar certain defenses, to provide that adjudication of guilt or imposition of sentence may not be suspended, deferred, or withheld for violations under this Section, and to provide for ineligibility for parole until the prescribed mandatory term of imprisonment, or the entire term of imprisonment imposed, has been served.
