AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 42-1-10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976,
RELATING
TO THE DESIGNATION OF TITLE 42 AS "THE SOUTH CAROLINA WORKMEN'S
COMPENSATION LAW", SO AS TO CHANGE THE DESIGNATION TO "THE
SOUTH
CAROLINA WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW"; TO PROVIDE THAT ALL
REFERENCES IN
TITLE 42 TO "WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION SHALL MEAN "WORKERS'
COMPENSATION"; AND TO PROVIDE THAT ALL STATE AGENCIES,
DEPARTMENTS, AND
POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS MUST USE ALL CURRENT FORMS, STATIONERY, AND
OTHER
PRINTED MATERIAL BEFORE USING, PRINTING, OR PREPARING ANY NEW
MATERIAL
REFLECTING THE CHANGE FROM "WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION" TO
"WORKERS' COMPENSATION".
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Section 1. Section 42-1-10 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 42-1-10. This title shall be known and cited as `The South
Carolina Workers' Compensation
Law'. All references in this title to `workmen's compensation' shall mean
`workers' compensation'; provided,
however, all state agencies and departments and all political subdivisions of
the State must exhaust the use of all
current forms, stationery, and other printed material before using, printing,
or preparing any new forms,
stationery, or printed material reflecting the change effected by this
section."

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor. |
